Amelia Phewa
Architect, Founder of North40
Since qualifying as an Architect, Amelia has worked for a number of national and local practices across the education, commercial and residential sectors. She has worked in South Africa, London and Yorkshire. The majority of Amelia’s experience has been gained within the residential sector from delivering large scale developments to creating bespoke one off homes for clients. She is a passionate designer who brings creative flair and a skilled ability to unlock the potential of a site.

Alice Crayford
Architect, Founder of North40
Alice began her career in Scotland, working on a range of social housing and private projects, realising small complexes of flats and houses. Following a move to Yorkshire, Alice has gained over 15 years of experience working on bespoke residential projects. She has worked for developers and private clients, across a range of projects typologies. Alice has good construction knowledge and a meticulous approach to planning and detail. She also oversees the smooth running of the practice.



At North40, we bring a creative, open-minded approach. We carefully listen to the brief of our clients and enjoy exploring the possibilities inside their framework. We push parameters to create inspiring, creative designs.
