At North40, we create beautiful bespoke buildings for our clients, no idea is too small to be considered. We can offer a full architectural service from concept to completion or we can work flexibly and provide a service that is tailored to your specific needs. The process outlined below sets out our standard services.
Capture
We offer a no obligations initial chat, either over the phone or at the project location, so we can fully understand your aspirations and brief.
We can provide initial advice on the potential of the site and the process ahead. After this we will write to you setting out our terms of appointment.
Create
Following a measured site survey, we will begin the design process. We are qualified Architects and creative designers who strive to make the design process as inspiring and enjoyable as possible. We will provide you will initial sketch/feasibility options for you to consider. We will then incorporate your feedback and work towards a final design. We see the design process as a collaboration between your aspirations and our creativity. We strive for design excellence down to the smallest detail.
Consents
We will advise you on the legal consents required. Many projects will require planning permission and we will advise you on this and manage the planning application process on your behalf. If your building is listed or in a Conservation Area then we will also make the relevant applications. We pride ourselves on the quality of our planning applications and our understanding of the planning system. Building regulations approval is required for most building projects. We can manage this process on your behalf and produce technical drawings and specifications for the project to gain the necessary approvals prior to construction.
Construct
We can provide detailed construction information and oversee the project on site. This may include managing the tender process, administering a contract between yourselves and the contractor and providing on-site monitoring. We can be your main point of contact throughout the build.We aim to ensure the build is completed to the highest standard, within the agreed time frame and budget.
